Detailed conference programme now online

Preparations are hotting up for the EFSA scientific conference at Milan EXPO in October 2015. More details of the conference programme have been published with the names and biographies of the speakers, chairs and rapporteurs for most of the presentations now online. Leading scientists from across Europe and the globe will be there to discuss and debate science, innovation, society and the future of assessment science.

Abstracts for the poster sessions should be submitted by 3rd April 2015 through the conference’s dedicated website www.efsaexpo2015.eu.

Young Researcher Initiative

EFSA facilitates participation of early-career researchers in the conference by covering travel and accommodation costs of 100 selected participants.

Early-career researchers interested in the initiative are invited to submit abstracts for the poster sessions.

To receive this contribution, early-career researchers should :

· have their abstracts selected by EFSA for the poster session ;

· be below 40 years old at the time of the conference ;

· be affiliated with a public institute or a higher education institute ;

· have relevant experience in the issues covered by the conference.

EFSA intends to make around 100 contributions, three-quarters of which will be awarded to early-career researchers affiliated to universities/institutions in EU Member States, and a quarter to early-career researchers from non-EU countries.
