Sightsavers Senegal Country Office is excited to offer the opportunity for an NTDs Programme Officer to join their team and provide strategic support to the Accelerate Project to aid the elimination of Trachoma in Senegal.
As the NTDs Programme Officer you will take overall responsibility for coordinating district and national level activities under the direction of the Programme Manager and Country Director. You will be responsible for all programme implementation monitoring and evaluation and ensure that information from these and other assessments are actively used by MoH and implementing partners to inform and adjust implementation when necessary.

The NTDs Programme Officer will be key to support the Sightsavers programme to maintain updated data on the elimination or control of all NTD programmes in Senegal. Furthermore, the post holder with collaborate with the Ministry of Health NTD office to monitor appropriate actions to improve project implementation, ensure adaption and adoption of preferred practices and assess their application across the programme, help with annual and quarterly planning to meet the targets set out in the project proposal and support activities to fight against other NTDs.
As the successful candidate you will have a degree (or equivalent) in Health, Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies and/or Public Health. You will have extensive working experience in a similar role, preferably within an INGO, have a background of engaging with Government line Ministries, possess experience of designing/managing health programmes at district or national levels and have an understanding of one or more of the leading PCT NTDs. Fluency in English is required.
